Crafting Time, Curating Trust
Krishnan Nair Watch House brings a heritage of precision, service, and elegance to every wrist — from timeless classics to contemporary icons.
Our Story
“A Legacy Since 1911”
The Krishnan Nair Group began in 1911 when Late Sri M. R. Krishnan Nair opened a store in Kottayam for the sales and service of watches, wall clocks and timepieces. His commitment to honest dealings, courteous service and the belief that “the customer is king” made the establishment a trusted name across Central Travancore.
After his passing in 1948, the business was taken forward by his sons. Under the leadership of Late Sri K. Padmanabhan Nair, the group expanded steadily. New outlets were opened in Allapuzha (1953), Thiruvananthapuram (1955) and Udhagamandalam (1957), each equipped with modern service centres with imported tools.
During the 1950s–70s, the group entered watch assembly and manufacturing. Swiss-assembled SINDEX watches and KENS mechanical clocks were introduced and distributed through more than 350 dealers across Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Mumbai. The group also diversified into hardware and construction, including projects such as the officers’ quarters for the Idukki Hydroelectric Project.
